Amber Olsen, SPHR

amber-olsen In 2007, Amber saw a need in the human resource industry for business support services and workforce in the Gulf Coast region. With a strong desire for helping businesses succeed with strategic talent management, she opened the doors of NEXTAFF Gulf Coast. Amber’s prior experience in customer service, investments & finance, and upper-level management for Keystone Capital Management established a foundation for fulfilling business needs and establishing relationships for future business growth.

A passion for improving business operations drives Amber’s involvement in various community programs. She currently holds several leadership positions with area nonprofits and professional organizations, including President of the Ocean Springs Rotary Club, Past President of the Gulf Coast Human Resource Association, Gulf Coast Chamber Board Member, Past Small Business Chair for Biloxi Chamber board member and founder of Women Entrepreneurs Gulf Coast (now a program of the MS Gulf Coast Chamber) and past president of the Singing River Charter Chapter American Business Women’s Organization.  Amber is also a dedicated supporter of local nonprofits including advocacy for domestic violence. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Non-Violence – Jackson County location.

Amber is a graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program.

Amber holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Montana and is Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), certified by Human Resource Certification Institute and Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP), certified by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Olsen resides in Ocean Springs with her husband, Tom Cannan, and their three daughters: Kylee, Jenna and Willow.

Bonnie Sine

bonnie-sine Bonnie brings a diverse background to NEXTAFF Gulf Coast with more than 20 years of experience across a diverse range of industry, from military service to retail management.  Bonnie held the position of Senior Master Sergeant, which was the most difficult enlisted position to obtain in the Air Force.  During her military service as a senior non commissioned officer to human resources and safety, Bonnie managed up to 500 personnel in multiple duty stations.   Bonnie has spent much of her career providing expert consultation services and leadership to personnel with the military, healthcare industry, service industry, retail environments, power industry and skilled trade associations. She continues to serve in this capacity as branch manager.

With her MBA from William Carey University and human resource training from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Tulane University, Bonnie combines her employee relations skills and safety knowledge to effectively manage a large workforce.  She has vast technical and leadership skills from a broad variety of assignments both domestic and international.  Bonnie’s strength is employee retention programs and manpower planning to decrease turnover.  She strategically reduced workers’ compensation expenses, creating an impact on premiums and profitability.

She is a current board member of Society of Human Resource Managers, serves on the Centurion Board of Directors for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, while also serving on the Curriculum Advisory Board for Virginia College.  Bonnie has participated in both Jackson County Leadership and Gulf Coast Leadership programs.  Bonnie is passionately committed to the community and is involved with many organizations such as Mississippi Business Women, Biloxi Professional Women and Women in Construction.

Joshua Wise, CSP, TSC

Headshot - Joshua WiseJoshua serves as a recruiter for NEXTAFF Gulf Coast with more than 15 years of experience across a diverse range of business, from administration and pastoral ministry to retail and training.  Joshua has held the position of VP of operations and Associate Pastor for over 10 years. During his time as Pastor and VP of Operations, Joshua has managed personnel in multiple departments and assisted with church administration, as well as staffing needs. Joshua is a Certified Staffing Professional through ASA. Previously he worked as a trainer and customer service representative for a large financial organization. Joshua has spent much of his career providing customer service and leadership to a varied range of individuals.

Joshua attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA, Christian Life College in Stockton, CA and Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, CO. He combines his customer relations skills and professionalism to effectively meet the needs of customer and client. Joshua’s strengths include communication, sensitivity to client needs and problem solving. He is talented in sourcing the hard-to-find candidates, relating to candidates, and maintaining a high placement rate.

He is currently serving as Lead Pastor of the Apostolic Lighthouse in Biloxi, MS. Joshua is fervently dedicated to the Gulf Coast community and is looking to provide life-giving hope through his ministry opportunities.

Betsy McClendon, CSP

Betsy McClendon serves as a recruiter for NEXTAFF Gulf Coast. She comes from Tempstaff, Inc. out of Jackson, MS where she has been a Staffing Supervisor/Recruiter for the past 5 and a half years. She has interviewed thousands of candidates and has received exceptional reviews for her ability to match talented administrative and professional candidates with her clients. She is a Certified Staffing Professional through the American Staffing Association and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management.

Katelyn Wood

Katelyn serves as the Administrator for NEXTAFF Gulf Coast and the United MSD Foundation- a non-profit organization funding research and treatments for children with Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD). She is a recent graduate of The University of Tennessee where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and was a part of the National Honor Society and the American Kinesiology Association. Katelyn’s medical and international education experience gives her the unique ability to work with a diverse population spread throughout the world and her understanding of complex medical terminology helps her assist with research reports for the United MSD Foundation. She loves being a part of the Nextaff family and learning about the recruiting business.

WG Yates & Sons Construction Company has utilized Nextaff for the past several months. Nextaff provided us with exactly what we requested based on qualifications and a personality and work ethic match for our Office & Field needs. They were timely, professional and paid great attention to detail while conducting their search. When WG Yates had exhausted several other avenues searching for contract labor & office staff needs, we found that Nextaff was more than willing to take the time and effort to provide WG Yates & Sons Construction Company whatever it took to get the job done.

We knew that this specific personnel request would be much more challenging than any because there were many unseen variables in place. We needed office personnel and a cleanup crew. The amount of people needed changed daily. Each person had to be granted access to the military base and pass a complete background check, and they worked on badging well ahead of time so as not to delay Yates production well before they were even able to begin the job. In order to gain entry, they had to have a clean background, reliable transportation and insurance on their vehicles. They also needed proper safety equipment and attire, which they provided, and made sure our safety requirements were met.

Nextaff did an excellent job filling our needs where all other agencies failed. Nextaff found and obtained quality employees for The Seabee Base and Nextaff Staff continues to maintain great working relationships with all superintendents to ensure the quality of their employees work met all our needs.
